Due to past racially discriminatory practices this area of the law has in the past not been readily available to black legal practitioners, until 1994 when this area of practice was extended to include black legal practitioners.
Significant strides in areas of practice
Within a relatively short period of time, Maluleke, Msimang & Associates has managed to make significant strides in this area of practice and the firm now handles notable corporate law projects and performs various kinds of services in this field, including the negotiation and drafting of agreements, incorporation of companies and registration of trusts. The firm also acts as corporate legal counsel to a diverse number of companies including private companies and parastatals such as Transnet and all its divisions for whom the firm has drafted complicated and specialised agreements. The firm also offers advice the law of franchising and is a member of the Franchising Association of South Africa.
